Russian language online course gives you an opportunity to study via Internet and to individually plan your time within the general syllabus.

  • Russian Language Online Course is based on the functional approach. That is, we do not only teach you grammar, vocabulary and the sounds of the language. We enable you to speak, to perform speech acts making use of the necessary words and grammar structures, etc.

  • The multimedia enable you to develop your listening skills in Russian.

  • The hypertextual presentation of the material makes it possible to integrate different ways of receiving the information, thus strengthening the memorizing process. Using different channels of perception (audio, visual and verbal) for doubling the information makes the course fit the psycho physiological qualities of any student.

  • Using such a specific form of language activity as songs activates associative memory mechanisms.

Description

Grammar reference unit

The necessary theoretical information on phonetics, grammar and syntax of Russian is presented. It is organized as a hypertext and graphics (schemes, tables, illustrations).

Vocabulary

Includes the necessary lexical units. It is organized according to the alphabet and thesaurus principles. You can use any variant, depending on your aims.

Library

Unit where we have placed texts and dialogues varying in topics and levels of difficulty.

Exercises and tests

Unit which contains tasks, exercises, tests for self-assessment.

Songs

An optional unit. You do not have to learn all the songs but if you do you will activate your associative memory mechanisms. It allows you to have a break without stopping your studying.

Sounds

One of the necessary units, where the information is presented in sounds. This unit will help you get used to the sounds of the new language. You will learn to understand of Russian speakers as well as begin to speak yourself.

Course

Unit which integrates all the above mentioned units into a single course. It includes 32 lessons necessary for studying Russian within the basic level. Each lesson concentrates on a communicative topic. For example, in the first lesson you learn to meet other people, introduce yourselves and ask questions. This unit coordinates the following stages of work:

  • studying a communicative topic;

  • studying grammar and vocabulary, necessary for this topic;

  • working with texts on the topic;

  • doing vocabulary and communication exercises;

  • information for listening.

While working with the information blocks inside the course, you will receive help from:

He will teach you to communicate in Russian in the given situation. He will also explain the specific features of speech behavior in communicating with people of different ages, social statuses and professions.

He will provide you with the necessary information on the Russian grammar.

She will recommend you texts for reading or explain how to find them in the Internet.

He will joke in Russian and will be fun to communicate with.

He will give tasks and exercises for the lesson and watch you do them. He will also recommend you test for self-assessment.

He will present the songs in Russian for you.
